Multi-TV DVR Device

A consumer electronics device or set-top box with integrated conditional access from cable or satellite provider, it delivers DVR to multiple TVs in the home, along with all enabled digital TV services. It requires Video Thin Clients on or embedded in secondary TVs.

Media Center

A consumer electronics device that manages and stores all types of media from the TV network, fixed media (DVDs and CDs) and portable devices (MP3 players), it distributes the media to all connected devices in the home (TVs, PCs, stereos, other IP-enabled devices). It has DVR capabilities and requires Thin Clients on secondary, non-IP devices.

Media Gateway

A consumer electronics device, a Media Center becomes a Media Gateway when a broad-band modem and the associated residential gateway services are integrated.

Standard DVR Device

This delivers DVR services to a single TV, connected either directly to analog cable, a digital cable set-top box or satellite set-top box.

DVR Set-Top Box

A set-top box integrated with conditional access from a cable or satellite provider, it delivers all digital TV services and DVR to a single TV.

Networked DVD Player

A consumer electronics device, this DVD player is powered to stream DVDs to any TV in the home connected to a Video Thin Client.

CE Device with Integrated Client

A consumer electronics device, it is a previously stand alone device from a clock radio to a high-definition TV ¨C that has been made network ready with the integration of client hardware and software.

Audio Thin Client

This device enables a stereo to connect to the in-home network and receive audio from a PC, multi-TV DVR device, media center/gateway.

Video Thin Client

This device enables a TV to connect to the in-home network and receivecontent from a PC, multi-TV DVR device, media center/gateway.
