Thin Client

The network computers have the features of low cost, easy management and good security, able to be applied in multiple fields like government, education, commerce and finance. In addition to enjoying the terminal functions possessed by a normal NC, it provides multiple local arithmetic software programs and can make full use of NC local resources. The HOPEN thin client integrates work, net surfing and entertainment, and is the top select platform for network computers. The key applications of HOPEN thin client are.

With RDP protocol, the oriental software makes NC log onto Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003 server. As Windows terminal, NC uses applications on the server.

With XDMCP protocol, the oriental software makes NC uses X graphics environment of Unix or Linux in a remote way. The applications are run on Unix or Linux server with NC acting as X terminal.

The oriental browser is built in within the standard version of Oriental Software, which can perform inquiry online, browsing and complete specific functions.

The oriental media player is built within the standard version of Oriental Software, which can play multi-media files. The oriental media player adopts advanced multi-media processing technology, achieving a playing effect better than when playing under Windows terminal.

Storage devices with USB (like flash disc and mobile hard disc) can be directly used through oriental software on NC, for file management and two-way file transmission to and from server hard disk, as well as sharing of flash disc for access of other computers within the network.

Windows-supported printers can all be linked to NC and used directly. NC can also act as printing server and share printers for use of other users.

When NC logs onto Windows 2000 Server, sound mapping can also be realized.

By Windows terminal, the user can accomplish recording operation through Wave-In interface.
